B.a.D S7 Premiere: Ascent (Part 2 Of 3)

* Begin Scene *


* B.a.D and Mizzle drove out to where they had stashed the B.a.Dship. They get out of the car. *

Man, I never thought it’d come to this. You and me sneakin’ into Canada.

Yeah. No one ever said it’d be easy. You be careful, dude.

Yeah, you too. You do have the keys to the ship, right?

Yes, mom. Good luck.

You too.

* Fade out to B.a.D watching Mizzle drive off before heading into the ship. *



* Fade in to Yochanan in Bush’s office, having a conversation. *

… but sir, the enemy is likely going to attack this Canadian White House soon.

What are you basing that on? It’s been months. If they we’re going to come, they would have done so already, don’t you think? B.a.D isn’t stupid. I am not going to live in the United States anymore. I am staying at the cave, this is my operation.

* Yochanan was ready to reveal Katastrophe’s betrayal, but first had to address Bush’s belief that he was not fit to run the B.a.Dcave. That was the reason he was in here... he was trying to get Bush to leave the B.a.Dcave so that he may be in charge again. *

Sir, I am more than capable of running this cave.

I think that your track record speaks for itself. You failed to deliver B.a.D and Mizzle like you promised when you took the cave in the first place. Then you failed to find them for 4 months.

I don’t see you finding them.

* Bush stopped immediately and widened his eyes at Yochanan. Yochanan immediately realized what he said and stopped himself before going any furter…

… I’m so sorry, sir. You’re right. My desire to protect you and the B.a.Dcave is just of the utmost importance to me, that’s all. I was out of line. But if you’ll just listen to me for a moment, someone at this cave has been…

* Yochanan was about to reveal Katastrophe’s betrayal to the cave… then stopped… hesitated… wondered weather or not to reveal all his cards just yet… he looked at Bush, who looked quizzical. *

What is it?

Nothing, sir… I’m sorry.

* Raising eyebrow… * It’s all right, Yochanan… but rest assured, another outburst will not be tolerated. I am running the B.a.Dcave, and the United States now. And I will soon run the world.

* Yochanan stopped… and stared at him… *

Uh… yes, sir. And I’ll be there right beside you. Serving you however you deem fit. If you’ll excuse me, sir.

* Yochanan left the room, leaned up against the wall, and took a breath. He could not believe Bush would not listen to him. After all he had done.

And he could not believe what else he had heard. Yochanan had based his faith on this administration in Bush, and now he had heard that he really did want to take over the world. Could B.a.D have been right?

And he also asked himself a question he had been trying to avoid asking himself for months. How exactly did G.g.B survive being in the middle of a nuclear explosion?

And he had not revealed Katastrophe’s betrayal. And he had not been sure when he had failed to mention it, exactly why, but now he knew. He would do something he would never thought that he would do.

He would allow B.a.D and his friends to allow their mission to “succeed” to the point of taking care of Bush for him. And after that point, he would take them himself. Then, he would get the credit, and he would get the win, and the power that Bush had would fall to him. And the world would be safer without B.a.D and Bush.

Yochanan smiled at his ability to recover so quickly from the misplaced faith in Bush, one of his greatest heroes, and turn the situation around into his favor. He then realized that if this plan of his to seize power would succeed, he should check on Katastrophe… *



* Fade in to Mizzle approaching the border. He slows the car at the border patrol. *

Border Patrol Guy: Your name please, sir.

* Mizzle looks at him with narrowed eyes, then gets out of the car. *

Border Patrol Guy: Please step back in the car, sir. * Draws his gun. *

* Mizzle cocks his head sideways, still with narrowed eyes, and starts a cocky strut for the guard, who is too scared by the look on Mizzle’s face to do anything, which allowed Mizzle to land his best power crotch kick ever. The guard went flying back, and Mizzle looked around. Not a single guard had noticed, they we’re all reading their newspapers. *

Oh… well, for God’s sake.

* He starts another cocky strut and takes a device out of his pocket. He leans into the window where a guard is reading the paper and tazers him in the neck. This time, the guard screamed before going unconscious. *

I just made a killing in the shock market.

* The rest of the guards drew their guns and started coming. They rounded the corner... *
Border Guard: You have the right to remain… where is he?!?!

Over here.

* They look over to the backseat of a border patrol car, where Mizzle has handcuffed himself. *

Looks like you monkeys are just too quick for me.

* Fade out to the guards holstering their guns and looking very pleased with themselves. They start high-fiving and congratulating each other on their first arrest ever. Mizzle rolled his eyes, and as he resolved to never pay taxes again, he hoped his friends knew what they we’re doing... *



* Fade in to the inside of the B.a.Dship, which is in the air, headed for the border. B.a.D is at the controls. He takes out his cell and dials Katastrophe. *

Still alive over there?

So far. I hate waiting for the axe to drop. I’d almost rather they get it over with so I’d at least know when it’s coming. Then I could deal with it, you know?

I know. Not long now. How’s Mizzle doing?

So far so good. The news came 5 minutes ago to the cave that they “captured” him. Bush and Yochanan are nowhere to be seen, I imagine they’re in a meeting figuring out how to deal with him. Everyone’s pretty excited to get him, plus they think they can torture you’re whereabouts out of him.

But you’re not going to let that happen, so I assume you have some kind of a plan.

I do, but you’ll need to get here soon. What’s your position?

I’m almost at the border. I’m going to have to go dark so I can cross undetected, you won’t be able to contact me. For this stealth ship to be totally invisible, I have to maintain complete radio silence.

* B.a.D turned on the stealth mode to the ship. The lights of the ship dimmed, and B.a.D just sat there after putting the controls on autopilot. He took a deep breath.

He tossed the cell to the side and rubbed at his eyes before looking out the cockpit window to the night sky. He realized how long it had been since he had slept, let alone how long it had been since he had a good sleep, which had not happened since before he had been in Seattle. Not since he had been home.

The gravity of the situation then sunk in. For months he had been numb, since having to flee Canada, but for some reason, it was all coming now. His heart sank.

This was his mess. All his.

Mizzle had been intentionally captured at the border and was being taken back to the B.a.Dcave to be tortured to attempt to ascertain his whereabouts. Katastrophe had had to live at the B.a.Dcave for months, living with people she hated, living with her enemy just so that her sacrifice might better the cause. And P.c.P… his friend, his sidekick, had died. Shot in the neck by Yochanan.

The reality of P.c.P’s death and the sacrifices and risks that his crew, his friends, we’re making for him, finally set in, and B.a.D found it hard to breathe. He took off his pilots helmet, took off the seatbelt and went back to the couch in the spacious stealth plane. He looked out the window into the night sky.

He looked at the stars, and thought about how his life had come to this point, and where he would go from here.

B.a.D cleared his mind, and set to prepare his equipment for when he reached the B.a.Dcave. Although, he could not keep these thoughts from completely leaving his mind… and he realized as he stopped to stare at the night sky again, that there was nothing he would have done differnetly. It may or may not be his mess, but one way or another, he was going to clean it up.
