Oh my God! Kerry killed Bush!

Bush got wrecked at the presidential debates last night. Did not have a prayer. He had one defense the entire night. "Kerry changed his mind". He often spun that into "We can't have a commander-in-chief who will change his views whenever world politics change.", and also often used "The world won't respond to a president that changes his mind".

Kerry hit him with:
- Why leave Afghanistan to go into Iraq when most of the terrorists are in Afghanistan? (hint: more oil in Iraq)
- Why did we target the oil fields first and not the (suspected) nuclear facilities and defense points? (Hint: there was no nuclear facilities, but there was plenty of oil)
- Why did we not/are we not going after North Korea, who is much closer now to completing a nuclear program than Iraq ever was? (Hint: no oil in North Korea)

Not one of these points garnered a meaningful response from Bush, he avoided the question almost every time. Notice a common theme? (Hint: oil) Bush had no chance, you could see it on his face. I'm sure he'll get some coaching before round 2 though, because he must realize that if he doesn't do better, Kerry might have a good shot at winning this thing.

Anyone remember The Big Boss Man from the old WWF days? The gruff, scary, cop-looking guy who carried a night stick and handcuffed everyone he beat? He died last week of a heart attack... sad story. So many wrestlers have died young in the past couple years. Anyways, he was one of the guys who got me hooked on wrestling (for life), him and The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. Anyways, Big Boss Man (Real name Ray Traylor), rest in peace, you'll be missed.

Friday's are my day with Kacey, and usually the only day I get during the week, so I'm going to cut this off now.

Have a good day, everyone.

Son: I agree with the polls that say Kerry won the debate about 53/37 however, being the President of the United States is all about Character, Values and Principles. On that front, it is no contest - BUSH WINS HANDS DOWN. No doubt about it, Kerry is a much better debater and politician than Bush. Kerry's whole history, going all the way back to Vietnam, has been about winning at all costs, trying to be all things to all people at all times, getting it, but not understanding it and then not doing anything about it. Kerry gets the facts, is very effective at spinning and selling them, but can't sell them so he simply calls the other guy an asshole. One of the frightening things about Kerry is the Swift Vote Ads: Bush invited Kerry to join him in condemning and stopping all of these ads but Kerry refused because the Friends of the Democrats are outspending the Friends of the Republicans 10/1. This is just one of many examples of his lack of personal integrity, virtuous values and worthy principles and I applaud Bush for his restraint - you could see the rage just boiling in Bush and that did not help him either. I admire Bush for not reducing himself to Kerry's level and refusing to go down into the mud with him, despite the fact that unless he does, he may well lose the election. At the end of the day: To Bush it matters how you win and to Kerry, WINNING IS EVERYTHING AND, AND KERRY IS WRONG ABOUT THIS. The good news is that the American Electorate have a history of having a very intutitive intelligence about voting (ie: Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton (sadly he wasted a lot of his potential legacy), Jack Kennedy etc.

Kerry's whole position vis a vis North Korea, Iran, Africa, etc. is based on contrarian positions so we know what he is against, but we do not know what he stands for because he does not stand for anything except, getting elected. As an example, Kerry wants the United Nations and larger coalitions to take on a broader roles and responsbilities and that is what has happened vis a vis North Korea, Iran etc. but he favours US bilateral actions and vis versa in other parts of the World.

As for the oil thing, that is complete nonsense. The United States is the only super power in the history of the world never to have any territorial expansion aspirations and is the most giving Country in terms charity of those less fortunate in the world, even if it is not in their political and economic interests. It is called doing the right things. Before September 11th, the US was giving more humanitarian aid and financial support to Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya than the rest of the World combined.

There is not doubt what-so-ever that it is a War on Terrorism that is occuring in Iraq and, I for one, am glad it is occuring there vs here.
