This post is dedicated to the ladies who gave me a weekend off this weekend, only because they don't have to give a "casual" employee any weekends off, ever. Yet these 2 wonderful ladies give me and the other 2 casuals the hook-ups and try to give us 1 in 4 weekends off.
Friday starts off with me working out, going tanning & heading to school a touch early to help with some websites. I then go to E-Marketing where Matt gives my laptop a naked full-body massauge with oil to exercise all the spam, spyware, viruses and adware off of it, and trust me, there was a lot. He was yelling "The power of Christ compels you!" Crazy. Crazy, I tell you! It worked quite well, whatever he did, but I'm pretty sure my laptop was throwing up the rest of the night.
We then hit PR for our last lecture class, then I head to Kacey's for her birthday day. We head out to Cannery Row for her birthday dinner. This presented the unique challenge of what I was going to eat, since everything had fish in it. I'm serious, I'm pretty sure I tasted chub in the bread. So I had me a place of french fries. Deee-licious. I could do that at every fancy restaurant where there's nothing else for me to eat and never get bored. But due to needing something solid, I also had me a Beef & Cheddar from Arby's when we went to the mall for a bit.
Nothing much else was done that night, Kacey didn't feel like seeing a movie as originally planned, and the bowling-with-her-friends plan fell through, so we hung out at my place and chilled and watched video games. Very good night.
Saturday I woke up at her place, and we took Sheldon (that's my dog, bitch!) to the off-leash area. He fell in love with a stick, it actually distracted him from trying to hump other male dogs... for about 10 minutes.
Got home around noon, was looking forward to the Risk game with Matt & friends to take place later in the night, so I decided I needed to give my ego a head-start by beating my Dad in a quick game. Then he crushed me like the gorilla crushes that briefcase in that Western Union commercial. Kill kill kill.
Was supposed to chill, work on her website and get stuffed as per normal at Casa da Nicole in the afternoon, but the Pope's death put a stop to that, as she had to go to church. Kill crush destroy. I waste no time in setting up another quick game with my Dad since I now got time, and I crush him even faster than he crushed me. We we're tied at the beginning of the day, then he won one and I won one, now we're tied again. Typical.
I eat a delicious wrap from the farmers market and play some GTA until I pick Kacey up from work at 8. I headed in 15 minutes early so I could chill with some of the people I used to work with, but didn't find anyone but Kendra. Like a whole new set of staff there it seems like, mind you it has been a few years since I worked there. I pick her up and we head way north to meet up with Matt. I get there and he informs me that he thought I was bringing my Risk board, becuase he doesn't have his. Word.
We jet way back south in a record 25 minutes, I challenge anyone to beat that. We then jet way back north, and we get back at about 10 and start the game. It was one of those games that was just way too good to stop, plus we had 5 people playing and all we're alive until the last hour. Anyways, Kacey & Matt ended up dominating in the end because myself & Nick could have stopped them, but needed a minimal amount of help from Justin, which we didn't get.
Matt even ordered pizza and made iced tea. At least, I think it was iced tea. It could have been sludge he scraped off the bottom of his car, he put so much sugar in it that I would never have known the difference. You know how you can usually sort of see through a cup of iced tea? Not this iced tea... gave me a good buzz.
Also, watching Matt's girl play The Sims made me realize I bought a copy of that about a year ago and never played it more than once. It's just so addicting, you start playing it in the morning and before you know it it's dark outside. People would come home, tell me what they did with their day, and somehow it put that 6 hours that I spent trying to get my Sim to brush his teeth in perspective.
Anyways, the game went till 4 AM... 6 hours. With the time change, it went to why-the-f*ck-am-I-still-awake AM. Kacey is dead tired, I am still wide awake for some ungodly reason, probably because of all the sugar. It was already 6 AM by the time I got home, and I figured if I went home and went to bed, there's no way I would be able to motivate myself to get up to do chores and work out before WrestleMania at 5.
So I went home, cleaned my room, shaved my head, cleaned my bathroom and the rest of the basement, worked out & started my laundry. Sun was up, it was 8 AM before I was done. I was supposed to go to breakfast with my parents, but my all-night plans put a big stop to that. I was gonna jog too, but it was cold enough out to freeze the balls off a brass monkey, so I crashed 'till 11 AM, then got up and did it then.
Did some homework and chilled until Kacey came over just before WrestleMania started. She brought a tiny pizza for herself and a big thing of this yummy cheese bread topped with delicious bacon bits for me. I recommend everyone try it, unless you're a vegetarian, then get 2 of 'em. They're that good. Make sure you get it with donair sauce to dip, too. You can only get this and the best pizza ever at Pizza Delight. Best pizza in the city, it's a shame there's only one in town.
Then we watched WrestleMania. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Check below this post for pictures and thoughts on the show. I will say that the undisputed highlight was watching the crowd's insane pop for Hogan, they went crazier than I've ever seen a wrestling crowd go. You just can't get something like that watching regular TV. There will never be another Hulk Hogan.
Great weekend, although there was definately not enough sleep in it. Oh well.
First week of my vacation from work (and school) will come in the first week of May before my spring classes start. The second is coming at the end of August. Pretty sure the cruise will happen during the August vacation, but if the right offer comes along in May, you never know.
For those who want a comedy CD, pick up a Lewis Black. He defines a comedy CD. They're tricky to find in stores, you gotta hit up Amazon, but man is it worth it. Hilarious.
Also picked up the Obie Trice CD. Very tight, I definately like it. Yes, yes, I know I'm behind the times Sexy, don't say it. I'm a busy man.
Song For Today:
Obie Trice- Don't Come Down
Matt is in one of my spring courses, Pam is in the other, so it's sure to be a good time.
I think that's it for today. Remember to look below for some good WrestleMania pics that I posted yesterday.
Peace.
