Not much to say, really.
He was easily the best Grandpa anybody could really hope for. Never a situation came up where he lost his sense of humor.
He had a great life, a great marriage, a great family and a great life. He was ready to go and he went the way he wanted to go. We should all be that lucky.
Rest in peace, Grandpa. You'll be missed.

Thanks, Blair - that was really nice.
You're absolutely right. Al was, if nothing else, a pretty cheery guy all the time and that is exactly how I will remember him. And, yes, he did get to go the way he wanted and he was indeed ready to go too. I'm glad in a strange way that his bad days are behind him.
Last night I figured he's somewhere at a Casino, playing the slots and the horses, having a smoke and trying to decide whether to go back to the buffet or go have a nap.
RIP indeed, Al, RIP.
Brian
You're right babe, he was a great man and I'm glad that I had the chance to know him. He was a very funny man and so cute with your grandma. I like what Brian said about the casino and the horses...I'm sure that's what he's doing.
