Everybody look out their windows... there's a bird flying away with my respect for Carry-On!

Just kidding. A bird can't fly away with something that never existed.

Carry-On's Last Comment
Young BaD and Mizman,

How about we call me: “Carry On”; since that was the sign-off I used on my last “post” to your “blog”? How very exciting, a chance to interact with the younger set at their level and utilizing their technological tools.

My time is very limited today but I do promise to visit and comment very occasionally as time allows.

Young Mr. Mizman, you are quite wrong that I stumbled upon this curious forum doing research, however. My visit to young Mr. BaD’s site was quite intentional for reasons I do not feel obligated to completely divulge here. Rest assured, young Mr. BaD, the circumstances that obligated me to read some of the posts on your blog have for the most part evaporated so you should not fear speaking your mind here, as you obviously have been accustomed to doing in the past. Let us be content with the explanation that I arrived here to ‘do some fishing’, to use some of the vernacular from my world, but I do not believe I can use anything found here to my advantage. Much to my clients’ dismay, I might add.

A couple of suggestions should we continue to interact with each other, if I may. The use of vulgarity is often associated with those who have lower IQ’s than EQ’s (emotional quotient) and often masks ones’ inability to express ones’ self adequately through conventional means. Perhaps we could agree that the use of vulgar terminology be watched carefully and avoided if at all possible. I do find it offensive to say the least.

Having said that I guess I will welcome myself aboard. I do hope that further posts of mine will be met with intelligent responses that are somewhat less emotional in nature than the replies from yesterday. I sense young Mr. BaD and young Mr. Mizman went a little overboard in their reaction to my presence. You might learn something from me if you pay attention. I, in turn, could possibly learn something from the likes of you and your friends as well. To do my part in turning the relationship around, I will address you by your chosen monikers in the future, BaD and Mizman. How very informal!

Now, a question for you today: Mizman, you explained in your reply how you arrived at your moniker – thank-you for that – however, it does still leave in question the young, middle-class white mans' fascination for elements of the ‘black culture’ that I hope you or BaD can expand upon. Do you listen to the black mans’ “Rap Music” as well? Do you find yourselves using the black mans’ slang speech? I assume both of you are middle-class white people, please correct me if I am wrong.

Again, no need to react too violently to the curiosities of a new observer. If you feel up to it, an explanation to my above question would be interesting.

Thank-you.

Carry On.

Holy f*ck. Wanna clarify that for me a little bit, buddy? Ah, but you did! Clearly "limited time" means something different in my generation than it does in his. It might be a "her". But it sounds more like a "him", so I'm going to go with that for now until I have reason to do otherwise. And rest assured, I have never, ever been afraid to speak my mind. So here you go.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't like this. This guy might even be more fun than Yochanan. I'm sure this phrase is overused, but stupidity grows and blossoms into outright idiocy as a rule in my company, so I've learned to tolerate it. Even learned to be amused by it. So you must realize I am very amused by you, Carry-On.

But wait! In one of his other comments he said that he was "sure that I would have a witty retort to his comments to impress my friends"! Oh no! I'm proving him right! Swerve!

Yeeeeeeeah. This sounds like the kind of guy who runs over someone's kid and goes "I bet the parents are going to sue me or something. They seem like those kind of people." Then they sue him. Then he's like "I knew they we're those kind of people". You can't just tap me with some insults and expect me not to hit you back.

And "the black man's rap music"? The issue of blatant racism aside, I honestly don't even know how to respond to this one. This view speaks for itself. I had to read it twice. I couldn't even beleive that someone who tried to come off as old and wise would put that on there. You could put that on top of an ambulance as a warning. I know I'd get the f*ck out of the way. Not even Yochanan has the balls for this s*it. If you really want a good response to that, go read Brendon's comment towards you on the last post. He said the only real response that there is to that. You know, for a death-metal kid, he's pretty damn eloquent. (Just kidding, Brend.)

And I can't speak for my good friend "Young Mr. Mizzle", but I'm hoping he keeps up with this. I know he's been enjoying himself too. And hey, he brought me ice from Mexico, so I'll even let him have his own post if he wants to. (Ice means a chain, Carry-On. Ooooh, "black-man slang" ahoy!)

And last but not least, I don't beleive for a second that you came here to investigate me. Listen to how you yourself started out, saying that my lack of knowledge was appauling or something along those lines.

However, it would actually be much more entertaining for all concerned if you did come here to investigate me, because that would mean I'm being investigated for one of two things:

1.) Another Mother Against
If this is the case, I've said it before, bring it on. I would love for this crazy slag to try to slap a suit on me and not come away looking insane.

2.) Yet another lifer is coming to get me. Shake shake shake, shiver shiver shiver.
You know what, if this is supposed to scare me, then you need to get to know me a little bit better. I can't think of a time in the past 8 years with this festering boil that they call a company that someone wasn't trying to hit me with a union suit or get me fired because I'm "too young to be at this level", "bringing other young people to that level", or there's always the classic "knows his job too well".

Hell, if anything, that heat is worse than ever now. Now I'm running with two ladies who are like Mom's to me, and give me the chance to be creative and innovative and come up with new ways of doing things, allow me to bring other capable young people into our crew, and will teach me anything I ask to learn. I don't ever remember having that with this company.

What company, you ask? Well, everyone who matters already knows what company I'm talking about, and besides, I "don't feel completely obliged to completely divulge that here".

You don't think that gets me heat from some of the older retards who've been slaving away for three times as long as I've been with the company and have yet to get one tenth as far as I have? I run through these whores like a hot knife through butter, I'm so used to it.

You know what, though? It rolls off my back like water now. Like I said last time, I'd rather have the respect of the people that I have respect for, and the respect of people that I like than the respect of people I don't respect, or people that I don't like. I've never been this happy in my working life or my personal life than I am right now.

So there you go. You got some face time, you even got your own color. But be careful... G.g.B is a protective bugger. Poor P.c.P is probably still going through his initial testicular electrocution in Guantanimo.

Could you define "testicular electrocution"?

Oh, since you probably haven't figured it out, G.g.B is GreenGeorgeBush, Carry-On. Here comes a comment about how my knowledge of world events is skewed!

BaD et al,

Far from being frightened to continue our little relationship I would have to classify myself as more disappointed in the nature of the responses than anything. Perhaps I must re-think my interest in this forum if my posts are simply met with vitriolic attacks and defensive responses laced with vulgarity.

A couple questions again, if I might try at least one more time.

BaD, you have, in your reply, made reference to your employment successes. I am curious if you could expand upon what you mean by ‘how far you’ve’ advanced with regard to your employment status. I am not aware of what exactly the nature of your successes have been. I was under the impression your position with the grocers’ was of a rather entry-level, part-time nature. Please correct me if I am wrong. Are you a salaried, permanent employee? If so, my initial information regarding you must have been incorrect.

I am still interested in the suburban white young persons fascination with things of the black culture, but my attempts for you or any of your friends to provide an explanation have not been very fruitful. However, if you can, I would still appreciate an attempt at addressing my curiosity. Part of your answer confirmed that you do attempt to use some of the black mans’ speech characteristics at least. I still wonder if you and your friends listen to the black mans’ hip hop music? I never got an answer. Another day, should there be further visits, I would like to understand whether your or your friends understand how manipulated and contrived the American pop music industry really is, and whether you realize that you are only listening to the artists that you are supposed to be listening to because marketing geniuses have determined what you will and will not listen to as entertainment.

But back to an earlier theme for a moment, you mentioned that one of your friends ‘brought you ice from Mexico’. However, if my interpretation of the typical black mans’ lingo is correct, that would be saying that you received something made of diamonds. You state that ‘ice means a chain’. I would just like some clarification. Black man slang for a chain would be ‘bitch chain’. So, did your acquaintance procure for you a ‘bitch chain’ (necklace) or ‘ice’ (diamonds)? Or, is it both, as in he presented you with a :

‘smokin’ ice bit’tain’?

That would mean a lovely necklace with diamonds. Thank you for any insight you can provide to clear up this contradiction.

Until next time, if there is one, please do …

Carry On.

fuck, where is BAD even gonna begin on this one

Anonymous said...

fuck, i'll save him the trouble.

anyone want the "black girl's side"?

BAD, i haven't commented on ur site before... i don't even remember if i told u i read it, but jen passed it my way once... and this shit I just can't let go.

BAD has experienced LOADS Of success in his career for someone his age, moreso than anyone his age that i know. yes its permanent, and no hes not salaried but he does DAMN WELL for himself for his age., i've been fortuante enough to work for and with him. one of my only regrets in leaving macleod is that I don't really get to see him or work with him and some other people anymore.

BAD was even my workout buddy for too short a time.

he even gave friends of mine (and his) jobs in his new office where he's happy just because he wanted to give other people WHO DESERVE IT the same chance that he had and get them out of the environment of crotichy old fucking hags who we're the reason that I myself left.

yes, BAD listens to rap. SO THE FUCK WHAT? i listen to rock. OOOOHHH, am i trying to be white? NO. i'm PROUD of what I am, and one of the things i've always loved about BAD was that he is not ashamed that he likes rap music. and its not like he JUST listens to rap. and moreso than anyone white i know, BAD is not TRYING to be black. he's trying to be himself.

and its a chain you fuck. not a necklace, and not diamonds. it's a chain. some people just call it ice. it's not a "black" thing. why the fuck do you have to make everything about stereotypes??? our generation tries to see everyone in the same light. and i would say we're all influenced by different cultures. you'll pick it apart, but so the fuck what. you'll pick anything apart i say.

if there's reason anyone still looks at me and mine like strangers, its people like you

You're the MAN bad, i hope to talk to you soon
Miss ya

well

no ones gonna top that

Anonymous said...

yeah no kidding

shove it up your ass, racist

As the race thing is quite handled there by Vivi (good job btw), i'll take on this one...

"you are only listening to the artists that you are supposed to be listening to because marketing geniuses have determined what you will and will not listen to as entertainment."

What in the blue hell are you talking about CarryOn?

I don't care how much money, or how a CD or artist is marketed, shitty music is STILL shitty music. Britney Spears can spend all the money in the world on marketing her CD, but i can assure you i'll never buy one!

I listen to music I want, not music I'm told to. C'mon, who honestly wants me to listen to slipknot, korn, pentara, slayer, etc.

I think i'm disturbed enough without them! lol

I'm still waiting for some ackknowlegement to my questions btw CarryOn.

Blair, oops i mean BAD...what is all this about you working in an office? You mean you actually quit Safeway or was that Co-op?

No offence, but if you still work in a grocery store, how is that in any relation to an office? Last time i checked you still wore a uniform and a name tag...that's like the garbage man calling himself a sanitary engineer. And what level are you at exactly within the company? Supervisor is not a big thing, but you seem to think it is. It's kind of sad how you like to put the senior employees down that have worked just as hard as you if not harder, for no apparent reason. I had no idea you were that kind of person.

I realize that by making these comments your entourage will devour me with insults and criticism which is fine...we're all entitled to speak our minds. I just wish you would stop "tooting your own horn" and tell people how it really is. Oh btw, how is that basement suite? What a coincidence, you used to live in the basement of your parent's place...i had no idea you had moved out.

*hugs & kisses*

theres an office in the store, fucknut

god

Anonymous said...

Lol thanks buddy, I HAD NO IDEA! You obviously didn't understand my point of that comment...that's okay we can't all be sharp.

For your information when one makes reference to an "office" they don't usually apply that when they work in a grocery store, unless of course that's a normal thing that people do...if that's the case then anyone can say they work in an office, so long as there is a chair and a phone in the same room, as BAD pointed out...aaah, i get it now...sorry for being so ignorant.
