Well I guess it's about that time I take my maiden voyage into the path of livejournalhood. This post is officially my first hence maiden voyage, and I'm a little pressed for time but I wanted you all to have a decent read for the weekend.
This is kinda like the first time I... oh yeah B.a.D told me I can't talk about that stuff... Well this would be close that one time when I first tried... uh... this first post will be like that one time when she... sh*t... what the hell was that? I can't say sh*t... wholly f*ck... AHHH I can't say any of those! How do you do it man? Those words are key to most of my punch lines, this is going to be tough.
Well I guess I can't explain what this first post feels like, but I'm sure some of you have the idea by now. So I'll go on and introduce my idea:
B.a.D decided that I was color worthy... he chose Blue... I'm pretty sure it went like this.
B.a.D: "Hey man, I was thinking we should put you on my blog thing for fun"
Mizzle: "Sure, just posting like you?... or?"
B.a.D: "Yeah just like a Mizzle sez thing or something.
Mizzle: "Yeah alright!"
B.a.D: "OK cool check out these next five posts I put you in, you're Veranda Blue and this is what we're doing with the idea."
Mizzle: "You didn't just come up with this idea did you? In fact, by the looks of this, I'm gonna go ahead and say you've been working on this since friggen Christmas!"
B.a.D: *Blank look* "Well green and pink are taken, so do you wanna f*ckin do this or what?"
Mizzle: "How come you answer my questions with questions?"
B.a.D: "I guess we could try orange or something, would you like orange?"
Mizzle: "You know, I think Blue is going to work."
So I've been asking myself, why Blue, what is it that has drawn me to this color? Could it be that it just happened to be the quickest color that came to B.a.D's head? Or is there some hidden meaning...
Lucky for those of you still reading with nothing to do while you sit at work or in class, I have lots of spare time, so I looked up a description of the colors from some website of this guy who has this color wheel that he thinks is the coolest thing in town.
Here is what I got out of it.
Blue is the color of the sky and sea. [Is this brilliant or what?] It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. [Which is pretty much standard in the first paragraph of the “So you gotta Mizzle” instruction booklet.]
Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism [Which explains a few things *looks at belly*] and produces a calming effect. [Well this seems intelligent… AH He’s full of shit] Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity. [http://www.dictionary.com]
You can use blue to promote products and services related to cleanliness (water purification filters, cleaning liquids, vodka), air and sky (airlines, airports, air conditioners), water and sea (sea voyages, mineral water). As opposed to emotionally warm colors like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect. Use blue to suggest precision when promoting high-tech products. [Well I am pretty high-tech, normally this paragraph would be burned as dry toast, but I thought some of you might get something from it.]
Blue is a masculine color; according to studies, it is highly accepted among males. [… this guy will teach our kids some day… accepted among males??? What the hell was the obvious clue? DO you think he might have read a book once? Or perhaps hung around a nursery?] Dark blue is associated with depth, expertise, and stability; it is a preferred color for corporate America.
Avoid using blue when promoting food and cooking, because blue suppresses appetite. When used together with warm colors like yellow or red, blue can create high-impact, vibrant designs; for example, blue-yellow-red is a perfect color scheme for a superhero. [This guy is an entrepreneur when it comes to super hero design, you don’t get the blue-yellow-red from just any old comic. Not to mention one that might have been first published in June of 1938 *read Superman*]
Light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquility, understanding, and softness. [Not so much my color]
Dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness. [I’m pretty sure the author has been following me around.]
Well I guess that's it for today. I thought this would be a good place to start off, you know, break the ice... like that time me and this chick were... Well, this time I was over at this one party and we started all getting drunk and it turned into a... Um, well, it broke the ice alright.
Have a good weekend!
