As my car warms up and I get ready to go to work, a little wisdom I thought I could pass on is that stressing just the right words in a sentance can get your point across without you having to say what you want to say inside.
Example (stressed words are capitalized):
Someone: Does this shirt make me look fat?
You: No. THAT SHIRT doesn't make you look fat.
Someone: Is that a dumb idea?
You: No, THAT IDEA isn't dumb.
Someone: Is this perfume too powerful?
You: No. THAT PERFUME doesn't make you smell like a hog rendering plant.

DEAR BAD: Having discovered the Power of Faith myself, I have also discovered that "God Bless You" can be found to be offensive to others because of their beliefs or non-beliefs, regardless of intent. Some people understandably link God to one religion or another, particularly Christianity, and as representing the only path to salvation, eternal life or Heaven. The Bible teaches that there are many paths to salvation, eternal life and Heaven and that if "God Bless" or "God Bless" offends others, then I think we should only use it selectively and in appropriate settings. I think, where appropritate, we should substitute it with Bless You and use words like the Creator to describe Our God. Food for thought? Bless You!!!
