Red Light, Green Light

For those of you who have missed Mizzle, I have missed him too. His hockey pool and his girl must be keeping him busy, because I haven’t seen him and have barely heard from him for 2 weeks now.

Before anyone points it out, I should have mentioned that a couple of the quotes from the last post we're borrowed from another website. I believe it was Maddox, but I honestly can't remember. It might have been Ill Will Press.

As far as the absence of the others, don’t sweat it. I know I don’t. They’ll write when they want to, and if this is a one-man operation in the meantime, big deal. I wrote for a year and a half with no backup.

Anyone catch The Colbert Report with George Lucas and the end of the Green Screen Challenge? I love that show.

So for me, it seems like everything either happens at once, or nothing happens at all. Remember a few weeks ago when I said I was in limbo and starting to feel restless?

Well, in the space of a day, I got the official green light so I can FINALLY start Athabasca before the dawning of the next ice age, my papers officially went through for my executive position at work, and I got offered a (paid) writing job for another website.

As for the executive job, nothing is OFFICIALLY final yet, but unofficially I start in November. But as we all know, especially with my company, nothing is final final until I’m in a suit and sitting at that desk, and anything can happen until then, but I’m keeping my head up and staying positive.

As for Athabasca, I’m friggin pumped.

As for the writing job, a guy who runs http://wrestling-edge.com saw one of the wrestling posts on this website and offered me a paid job writing articles or recaps for there. He said to send a sample article, so I wrote one that I actually had a lot of fun writing. I’ll post that up here in the next couple days, for those of you who have been clamoring for a wrestling post. Actually, to anyone who used to or may be even a little bit of a wrestling fan, I suggest you read it too. I’ve gotten some great feedback on it and it sheds some light onto why wrestling is thought of the way it is today as opposed to how it was 5 or 10 years ago. Basically the state of the industry today. Even Katastrophe, who used to like wrestling 5 or 10 years ago but can’t stand it now, really enjoyed it when I asked her for some feedback. OK, usually I don’t care about feedback, but this is for a paid position.

Maybe I’ll put it as a draft and let her and anyone else who wants to throw their quick thoughts out on it.
Until then, stay cool, have a great weekend, and God bless.

I haven't seen a thing about the new OC season here yet, we have only just finished with the 3rd season. Our season's are screwed here, so we won't be getting back to Newport Beach anytime before February 2007... Sucks, eh? It must start soon in the Northern Hemisphere, right?
