Check it out. New look. Not bad, hey?
I received an e-mail from Blogger today telling me that I still have one of the 100 most viewed sites on their service. After all this time. Thanks to you guys, we are edging closer every day to 7 million hits. Yes, I realize over the span of two and a half years, that's not a whole lot, but for a guy and 4 of his fellow writers who are about as well known as your local Schmucky the clown performing down the street at Chucky Cheese, I feel pretty good about that.
I figured that warrented a new look. There's a handy new drop-down archive menu and everything.
The full-on black was a slick look, but it had been around for a year and half I think, and it was starting to remind me of the darkness, gloominess, grief, sorrow, unhappiness, misery, depression, wretchedness, sadness, pain, hurt, anguish, agony, torment, suffering, and obvious internal torture of some of our comment boarders.
Anyways, change is good. Hope everyone likes.
So for those of you unaware, myself and Mizzle are now working together. STOP PANICKING! No damage has been done (aside from the structural kind) and a great time is being had by both of us and Big D, not the least of which has been playing games not only during shifts, but 4 hours after the place closes until 2 AM.
Anyways, the other day, during operating hours, myself and Mizzle we're locked into an intense game of online crib when one of the little people (we call them "customers" or "members") came up to us and told us that they smelled something burning. We didn't notice, because we lose all sense of sight, smell, taste, and feel anytime we're involved in anything the LEAST bit competetive.
Upon closer inspection, Mizzle looks, and discovers it's his laptop cord. Now, he's still on his laptop from SAIT that he had when I met the guy, and this is what he's been using for years to bring you people sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows. This thing is getting old.
I mean, this thing is smoking. So he unplugs it. One would assume a sense of relief at not having had the smoking cord catch fire to the variety of other cords or electrical outputs that we're inches away, as well as having not burned down the gym or his place overnight, would soon follow. Maybe a small sense of disapointment at having to buy a new laptop (which would not really be all that bad a thing) or a power cord, but that would be it.
Not Mizzle. He says "watch THIS!"
Now, whenever something like this comes out of Mizzle's mouth, I tend to stay out of his way, because those will likely be the last words he will ever say. But no, he snips cords and pulls wires and takes things apart until it works again.
Not just anyone could pull a cord (on fire) apart and make it work again less than half an hour later while on the clock at a job that has nothing to do with anything remotely related to that activity.
For inquiring minds, I am seeing a girl named Jasmine, and she rocks. Hot, easy going, and not at all bothered by a busy life or schedule and knows that I'm doing my best to work in time to see her. Nothing serious is going on yet, but so far things are going well, and I have a great time with her.
I enjoy the way that mass murders compare themselves to Jesus, and my most heartfelt sympathies, wishes, and prayers go out to everyone affected by what went down this week.
If anyone is looking for anything new to check out for TV, check out Entourage. It was recommended to me by a man known only as Big Sexxy, which the REAL diehard fans of this site will remember as my schoolmate and frequenter of the comment board from WAY back in the day.
As for music, I stumbled across the Fort Minor mixtape the other day, and it rocks, just like the album. If you have not heard one or both of these, I really highly recommend Fort Minor to anyone.
People changing: sure does suck. With Katastrophe moving out to BC earlier this year already, it's tough to lose any more really good friends. Especially one's you've known for a really long time. Even when you know you're not wrong.
It's funny how much you can go through in a year and still be good, let alone still be happy.
Tomorrow night: myself, Mizzle, Big D, Nitro, and hopefully Robbie will be heading out to a bachelor party. I. Can't. Friggin'. Wait. If I make it through, I'll see y'all soon enough.
ASK B.@.D:
Q: Is it O.K. if I offer my written objection to this post, or something else in one of your lives that I have no real understanding of whatsoever, that demonstrates my poor reading comprehension and lack of ability to make any accurate or meaningful statements whatsoever?
A: We'd be disapointed if you didn't.
God Bless,
B.@.D
