Rolling The Dice

Welcome back!

Lots of changes in the life of B.@.D since 4 months ago when you guys last saw (read) me.

First things first, I've got a FANTASTIC job at Chrysler Financial! I work in a beautiful office building with some great people doing something I really like. I really haven't known this quality of working life... ever. And I'm making a great amount of money as. I have made lots of friends so far too.

I have been experiencing my first serious amount of time being single in over 4 years, and am enjoying that immensely. It hasn't been easy, but it's been fun. A lot of choices and a lot of voices, but the good news is I haven't had any trouble finding girls to go out with. I've had one girlfriend that I kept for about a month, and what I learned from that is that I'm not really ready to have a girlfriend right now. It was OK though, she's a great girl, and I made a friend. No complaints. The saga continues.

I have been extremely busy and going out a LOT, which isn't going to slow down much in August. The weekend of the 10th to the 12th my baseball team (sidenote: myself and Mizzle started a baseball team with the Calgary Sport and Social Club) have an all-weekend tournament. The weekend after, said team is going out to Carstairs for our team-mate Kim's birthday party on a bus to a bar-hotel where drinks and rooms are ridiculous cheap. The weekend after that is Edmonton for Tiesto, and if you're unaware of who/what that is, slap yourself.

It's a SICK rave they throw with one of the best DJ's ever. This was my birthday present to my boy Rich, who on another sidenote is one of the best guys ever. We're gonna make a weekend out of it and my girl Audrey is moving back from Toronto the week before, and she and some freinds are joining us with some of myself and Rich's friends, and even some people from my new place of employment.

With all these events coming up, I am extremely excited for them all, and there's a ton of stuff sandwiched between all of that that I am equally excited for.



The next B.@.Dsaga installment has been written, which you have all seen the posters and trailers for, and I appreacite the feedback. Work is slowly commencing the FINAL CHAPTER, which will come in December. I feel like I'm writing the final Potter chapter the way some of you guys go on, but honestly, I think it's really cool and I apprecaite it.

Harry is dead by the way. There. I said it. I've never seen any of the movies nor read a single page out of any of the books, but it's true. I hope I ruined it for someone.



So for any fans of the site in Calgary, if any of you are arcade fans, the arcade in Eau Claire is closing down at the end of this week. Myself and my girl Phaedra found that out when we went there over the weekend. It will be a sad day when that happens. Myself and Phaedra we're big fans of that place and spent many a night there drinking, playing pool and air hockey, and video games. Fortunately we we're able to spend one last good night there, and man did we have a blowout.

That's where the inspiration for the picture for the latest poster came in. It was Phaedra's idea. Just in case any of you are jonesing for some later B.@.D pics...

So I'm announcing an exciting temporary addition to the site. A new writer who you'll know as J@de, who is a good friend of mine, has expressed interest in writing for the site. There's an interesting little twist though... J@de is a psychiatry student who has expressed interest in writing, but only if she can psycho-analyze me.

We usually tend to go for a drink and some extremely interesting conversation... about once every few weeks. It's something I really look forward to and she likes to pick my brain and more or less use me as a guinea pig to test theories on what she's learned. I like it because it gives me some insight into my own life. Maybe it sounds wierd, but it's basically free psychiatry. It's really interesting.

J@de has been reading the site for over a year now, and a few weeks ago she pitched this idea for the new season and she asked me what I thought. I thought it'd be quite a good idea and the interesting thing that she said, was that she'd only do it if I couldn't edit what she said. I've never edited anyone on the site, but this is a dangerous thing to agree to if I don't know what she's going to write about me and my minds innermost workings.

But I'm all about rolling the dice, so let's go for it. We did a "session" about 2 weeks ago and she's written that into a post about me, and she said she'll start posting them when my new season starts. We're going out later tonight too, as a matter of fact. And even when we don't plan these talks to be about psychology, they always are anyways. I don't know if anyone finds that idea interseting except me, but it's something you can look for. She'll be writing in green. I'm kind of nervous to read someone ELSE write about me, but I'm looking real forward to reading these.
