Hey Hey Hey

Heyyyyyyyyyyy BAD fans! I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkk.

Where have i been you may ask? Well on vacation of course. We're just back from our 6 week adventure crossing the States from LA to New York. We had an absolutely fantastic time doing it as well.

Before we left i didn't get a chance to post and say bye (which i really wanted to do) here's why - 2 weeks before we were to get on that plane i ended up in hospital with a mystery illness. A day later i was discharged after being diagnosed with cramps. Ok, i know what cramps feel like and this was not it. So i go home to lay in bed for 2 days unable to move. Long story short - after $900 in medical testing and a week of not being able to move due to lower back pain i was correctly diagnosed with kidney stones! Has anyone ever experienced this? My gosh - the pain is unbelievable it totally immobilises you for days and days. So laying in bed i have totally given up the hope that the trip will come off, i am resigned to simply taking the 6 weeks off work and catching up on a lot of books and movies. Boyfriend is spending these 2 weeks waiting on me hand and foot and making trips at ungodly hours for more pain killers and tinned fruit (all i would eat). He is refusing to let me talk about not going on the trip and to just concentrate on getting better.

2 days before departure - phone call from doctor who informs me that as long as we have comprehensive travel insurance and that we seek medical attention if needed i can fly! We busily begin packing and getting excited again! I go back to work for 1 day before i have another 6 weeks off.

Tomorrow i'll fill you in on the trip, there were so many laughs and an especially big surprise one afternoon in Chicago...
