From Mitchell we headed north east to Minneapolis. We spent 3 nights in a nice hotel thanks to www.priceline.com. The Mall of America was lot's of fun, although not as big as i expected... when i was in high school i was good friends with our Canadian exchange student, Donovan, who hailed from Edmonton. Hearing his stories of that mall always stayed with me and Mall of America was the next best thing i figured. Anyways, it was fun, we played mini golf, built lego models, went on several rides, ate at some cool places and shopped way too much! We also visited the Minnesota Zoo which was so much fun as we'd never seen things like a beaver, a moose, grey wolf etc.
From Minneapolis we headed to Wisconsin and spent a night in Green Bay. We loved this place, it had such a community feel and the river was really pretty. We ordered in from the hotel restaurant and got some really gross looking pizza which i refused to eat. The next day we drove down to Milwaukee via the lake shore, it was so foggy we couldn't see much of the lake, but the towns were just gorgeous and the people we met that day were super nice. Must have been something in that lake air.
We stayed in Milwaukee for a couple of nights, visited the city, the lake front, the Millers brewery and shopped some more. Milwaukee had a good feel to it as well, although was a little more run down than most places we visited.
Tomorrow i'll fill you in on Chicago and finally New York - probably the most fun leg of our trip for the both of us... here's some more photos!
