Backlash

The last thing I'm going to do is turn this Blog into an ongoing political debate. My dad left a comment (2 actually, although they're both the same) at the bottom of my last post. If you haven't read it, go read it. Interesting stuff.

My dad said that he respected Bush for not attacking Kerry. I would argue that Bush did attack Kerry, like when he continued to questions his "mind-changing". The only difference between the two of them in that respect, was that Bush didn't have anything else to attack Kerry on.

My dad, in his comment, also avoided the questions that I asked, the same questions that Kerry asked, that (suprise, surprise) Bush avoided. So let's see if he can leave a comment, and answer the following questions that Bush couldn't answer.

1.) Why go to Iraq when there we're still more terrorists in Afghanistan, the ones responsible for 9/11? Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. (WMD's is not an acceptable answer, obviously)

2.) Why not North Korea? As I said, they are closer to completing nuclear activities than Iraq ever was.

3.) Why target the oil fields and not the suspected nuclear sites and defense points when they first went into Iraq?

Even if my dad was right on the fact that Bush didn't attack Kerry because he has more integrity, then my worry would be Bush's lack of defense, not offense. He couldn't defend himself on 90% of the issues Kerry brought up.

And I've said before that I don't neccesarily think Kerry is the best man in the world for the job. I do think he's the better choice of the two, though. I don't think Kerry is going to win, although it would be a nice surprise if he did. And, even if he does win, I don't think it's possible for anyone to undo all the damage Bush has done. So Kerry is not the best candidate in the world... does that mean we should re-elect Bush?

And, worst case scenario, all we can have is 4 more years of Bush, so it's not all that bad. Plus, I live in Canada.

3 simple questions... so let's see if he can answer them.

I'm supervising Co-op this weekend... so anyone that works with me is in for a good time.
