Just thought everyone would love to know that I trampled over my Dad last night at RISK: Future Edition. He's ragging on me though, because I used the moon to my advantage. The moon is there, and it was set up (the set up for each game works out differently) such that I could get an early advantage if I we're to take it, because I knew he wouldn't go up there... he doesn't like going to the moon, for reasons unknown to anyone (including him).
So I took the advantage... sue me blind. Never mind the fact that he made several other tactical errors (leaving Europe without finishing off the one weakened country that was left, taking all his troops and going for my one space station that I didn't even need anymore, etc), I mopped the floor with him.
A good strategist will make use of all the elements of the game. So, moon-phobe... don't hate, appreciate.
