People been asking me what I know about Gerda... and I don't know anything. I don't know where she is or what she's doing or when she's coming back. But... I do know this. She will be back. She's always back. If she's not back, it means she's dead. You can't get rid of her, no matter how hard you try.
And... some people are trying way too hard. I tried myself, but I had a line as to how far I was willing to go, we all did. And for the only one that's still trying, the only one without a line... you won't win. And if you do, she'll die without her work because it's all she's got, and her coffin will be on your concience, which I don't think you want. It ain't worth it, open your eyes. You may not agree with how she does things, but trust me, making peace with her will make your professional life 100% easier. The sad part is, it took me so long to figure that out, almost until I was already gone.
Myself, and other people far better than you have tried. You can't win, there's no beating her. She is infallible, and you at least have to respect her determination. In your quest to get rid of her, you've actually become much worse than her.
On another work note, the other day, a cashier who's been there about 4 weeks, whose first day of work was my last day of supervising, she asks me when I start supervising again. When I told her I wasn't coming back up there, she told me I was the coolest supervisor she ever had and that everyone really missed me and thought I was really good at it.
From the bottom of my heart, I want her and everyone else whose said similar things to me to know how much that meant to me. That's something you can never get with some of the "political connections" that some people on the front have. If I could have supervised and gone to school at the same time, I would have done it. So thanks for all your support.
