Happy Thanksgiving 2005

Quote For Today:
"I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq…' And I did."
- George W Bush

You say potato, I say potahto. You say tomato, I say tomahto. You say God, I say Dick Cheney.

Anyways, Happy Thanksgiving.

The reason I don't really like the holiday is that you don't have to wait for some bulls*it republican celebration to "give thanks" for anything or everything. You can do that year-round.

But, since we're on the subject...

I've got lots of money saved in the bank, I have the best girl ever, I get a diploma in 2 months, I work for Peggy who pays me well for nothing except being myself (Happy 50th, by the way, Chief), my Christmas shopping is done, and the people who are closest to me are happy.

The novelty of not really knowing where I'd be in January wore off pretty quick, but I made that decision, so that's done.

Here's a quote from one of my previous Thanksgiving posts, thanks to the reader that reminded me of this gem:
"I hope your turkey and canned yams we're worth the lives of the innocent Native Americans who we're slaughtered for it, you imperialistic f*cks."

Yeah, I know it's not Thanksgiving in America today. It's Thanksgiving in Canada. But that's where I live, so up yours, Yankees. Your country isn't the only one on the planet, you know. I hope you choke.

Actually, I take that back. Just the republicans.

Ha!
