Checked out the comments from my season premiere? Don't bother. This is just one of the many times that I'll say that some people take happiness as cockiness... and "The King" stuff was taken from a Moterhead song, you jackass.

Interesting little survey was put on the comments, however. I don't see any reason why I couldn't asnwer it somewhere down the road, and I'll talk to Mizzle and Katastrophe at some point and ask if they want to answer it too, maybe we could all do it in one post. Stay tuned.

So I've done a lot of posting this week... go me. I wasn't planning on posting again today, but I saw something in the Calgary Herald that demanded a quick write while I wait for my breakfast.

Has Oprah worked amongst the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta? Started a missionary for charity? Gone on relief missions to Asia, Africa, and Latin America and over 30 other countries? Does she take care of shut-ins, alcoholics, homeless, and AIDS sufferers? Received the Pope Peace Prize, the Nehru Prize, the Belzan Prize, or any Templeton and Magsaysay Arawds?

No.

Oprah gives mini-vans and dream homes to single soccer moms.

Is that generous? I may find Oprah annoying, self-righteous and priggish, but yes. Of course it is. Very much so. How could you think otherwise?

But "the new Mother Teresa"? Jesus Christ Allmighty. Where's the learning curve?
