A Year In Review

Well it's that time of year again. Birds are singing, children are playing, lovers are loving, etc. Yes my millions, it's my birthday on Saturday. I figured I'd post this today just because I didn't want to wait. You can all fill the comments with warm wishes, and my mailbox with gifts.

I've decided that on this special event I would creat a post that I like to call... A Year in Review.

This will be a little breakdown of the past going-ons and with some thoughts maybe for the future. So here we go.

1 year down, not sure how many left to go, but I'm not done terrorizing so hopefully there's a few more to come. This time last year I was finishing off my last semester of school. I remember it like it was... well... a year ago. Sepetember started it was the normal hustle and bustle aka bullshit, I was living in a dive that I moved in with a guy I lived with in res, it was affordable but that's about it. I got sick of the potential stabbings and break-ins so I moved out to another place with a different dude that I used to know back when I was representing L-dot Bridge. Got a better place, nice area to live and things are well as I am still there.

In the midst of the moving and searching, a chapter in my life came to the end. This saw the departure of a gf that I had. It was tough to take at first as these things always are. Don't tell me you've never had this... either way, it was over and done, we've parted ways and are both better people because of it. Well, I can't speak for both parties I guess, but believe me when I say I'm better because of it.

Found myself travelling to Mexico for a week in November with family. Had an absolute blast there.

Fast forward to December. Graduation time. Had one heckauva time with B.a.D and niccolina (whom I havn't seen since sadly) and Miss Andrea (whom I also havn't seen since, equally sad) and the others. You know who you are, don't be baby about it. I just wanted to throw a shout out to them. We had a lot of fun, we learned a little... more about life then anything I guess. And now have all gone our ways and making impacts throughout (sort of). Of course B.a.D and I still kick it, we's be like brothers from different mothers.

Now it was time to work. Found myself in a tough spot trying to decide what to do. I was good at quite a few things but wasn't sure what was best for me in the long run. So I found myself travelling for 4 months. I hit up every corner of the U.S (Yes this was for work. I'm not a free spirit who has no ambitions but to travel. These were all for financial gain.) Had my time with that, started to hate it...

Went to Mexico in May for my brothers wedding. Again, another blast.

Got home and went back to the states for more work for another couple months and found myself wanting more and being offered much more in several places. To which started another battle in my brain over where to go now. And after many thoughts I ended up where I am now. Well taken care of sometimes and often appreciated.

Which leads me to here. I met a great girl and things are perfect for us. This is the point where I cut you off because I chose earlier in the year to not go on and on about personal issues such as this. Just know it's perfect.

So looking back, I've seen a lot more then most in one year. I have no regrets and am happy with how all of it has ended up.

Wow, very cool to read. I wish I had thought of this idea for my birthday. Nicely done. Maybe you have to know Mizzle to understand why I enjoyed this, but regardless, I think I'm going to do one of these at the end of 2006 instead, since my whirlwind year started a little later than this time last year anyways.

But as for this... trust me, folks, Mizzle is not exaggerating his year. If anything, he's under-aggerating it. This year has been incredibly trying and challenging for both Mizzle and myself. Our lives have paralelled each other a lot, almost to a creepy degree, but we managed to pull through it, both with each other's help and our friends around us. Actually, fuck that, we didn't just pull through it. We kicked it's ass. Hey, if you can't be cocky around your birthday (mine was only a week ago, lay off) then when can you be?

Mizzle, I'm proud of you, man. I'm proud of us. I think we both did really damn good over the past year, especially considering the circumstances and what we both found ourselves up against. And how the other people ended up and the choices they chose to make.

Because it's your birthday, I won't even smoke you for taking my "ism". It's "izm" for rizzim, Bizzim.

He'll be out of town doing the birthday thing with his family this weekend, but everyone throw the glasses in the air for Miz tonight.
