Quote For Today:
"It's not the hand that you dealt with, but how you're playin' your cards."
- Ludacris
A week from this very moment, I will be on my first night in Mexico. Man, I just can't wait. I've got this new job starting in January and this has been such a huge year for me, that I can use the rest, and it'll be nice to have this before that starts.
It's funny that no one is allowed to say "Christmas" anymore. When I thought about that whole ridiculous thing the other day, I thought about how someone didn't want me to say "God Bless". I guess it's sort of the same thing, isn't it? I'd write about that, but...
I...
...
don't want to.
So the finale starts on Wednesday. I'm glad you guys are looking forward to it from the comments I've seen. I sure hope it can live up to what you guys are expecting.
I've really enjoyed S8: Revelations. I never know quite what to say for these last ones...
I guess I'll just say, because you won't hear from me until 2007, that 2006 was truly one of the most memorable years of my life. I've done things, seen things, and been changed in ways that I couldn't even begin to communicate to you guys.
I've had my eyes opened by someone who made me see that you can't make yourself feel something. What you feel is what you feel, and you can't teach yourself or force yourself to make it any different way.
I've had my eyes opened by someone else who made me see that it's never too late. I wasn't expecting to find what (who) I found, but when I did, it made everything so much clearer. I'm 25 years old, and it just started making real sense.
I'd like to thank all my friends, family, and especially Aleta. I thought I knew what it was supposed to be like when you loved someone, but I had no idea.
I'd like to thank Katastrophe, OziStyle, B-Rush, and Mizzle for helping me with the site. You guys helped me make it what it was, and I'm glad I brought other people on board this year. It helped to keep it fresh, and I had more fun doing it. I'm looking forward to writing for you guys again in 2007.
YouTube For Today: The World's Fastest Indian- Burt's Arrival To America
Your last YouTube for the season will be a great scene from, in my opinion, is the best movie of the year. It's called The World's Fastest Indian. It's about an old guy (Anthony Hopkins) from New Zealand who wants to set the land speed record, but he needs to get to the salt flats in Bonneville, Utah in the States to do it. Based on a true story. One of the most inspirational things I've ever seen. Here's a scene.
Well, it's been fun. I might be posting some pictures from my trip to Mexico in the interim. But other than that, I'll be back around mid-late January. Enjoy the rest of the crew and the site in the meantime. Take care, and have a great, happy and safe Christmas and New Years. And, as always..
God Bless.
And enjoy the new B.a.Dsaga!

And thank you so much for Heather. She has been a highlight in my year. I could NOT ask for a better sister. Thank you Heather, you are irreplaceable.
B.a.D. Have yourself a good holiday season; if anyone deserves a break it's you. I've had a blast on the site so far, and look forward to 2007.
I'll probably be a little less frequent until the new year, family troubles keeping me busy, but I'll do what I can.

Check out "Metal: A Headbangers Journey". It's a documentary about heavy metal culture. Actually really interesting...
