HARROWWW!
How are all the B-Rush fans out there today?
Jeeze... this is one hard day - I hate coming back to work after a holiday... it just sucks doesn't it?
So I said I'd deliver a post after the holiday - and here I am as promised!
I looked through the comments on the last post and I feel that I should deliver thanks to everyone who either wished well, or had ideas on the Vegas "Must Sees". Thanks very much everyone, advice and well wishes were much appreciated!
And to this very special B-Rush Fanclub member:
that is a HOT pic of brush driving
sexy one of BAD too
Thanks... although, only a little bit uncomfortable ;)... B@D - ya hear that? We're sexy! WOO
So - on to the trip
We left Calgary at 6:30 in the morning on Monday, and arrived in Vegas at 8:00am their time. Got to the hotel (MGM Grand) and had to leave our bags and kill time until 3:00 check in time.
Weather was absolutely gorgeous - 40-45 degrees celcius the whole time, but it wasn't overpowering hot - it was just.... well.... HOT. Similar to when you stick your head in the oven to check on your dinner and that wave of air hits you... just HOT. We were both pretty aclimatized pretty quickly. And guess what? you get too hot? just duck into the nearest hotel - it's about 17 degrees in there, after awhile, we were both getting cold inside.
Some nice time was spent pool-side. Enjoying the sun, and of course the 'view' by the pool. lots of nice women... but FAR MORE really bad women. nobody there had the "perfect" body that's for sure. I couldn't believe one woman... maybe I'll set up a special "photo post" when I get to my other computer tonight... *shudders*
We mostly just checked out the strip, lots and lots of walking... TONS of walking... looking in the different hotels was very cool... and the shows offered were increadible!
The outdoor free shows were really good - Belagio water show was unbelievable. Supposedly, the computers that run the fountains are actually advanced enough now, that they compensate for WIND (which would blow the stream offcourse.....) I believe it too. Treasure Island 'The sirens of TI' was neat... although, there were WAY too many people watching to really get a good look and enjoy it... from what we saw though, there wasn't much too it.. a bunch of women dancing and lipsinching. The sets and pirate ships (especially the bull that sinks in the end) were REALLY well done.
We went to see 3 shows:
Monty Python's Spamalot: Jebus Christy this one ruled... if anybody's ever seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail - this is a live theater version of it. Incredibly funny and very well performed. Grade: A+
Cirque De Soliels Zumanity: WHOA! this show was.... .... uh.... whoa! I don't know how to describe this one. It was a cirque show, so there was obviously some cool acrobatic stuff... people in the air on bed-sheets and the like.. but it was also very... very... increadibly... insanely SEXUAL. Dildos in coats, breast implant infomercials, Strippers on TVs, Lesbian waterbowl action, schoolgirl with hula-hoops... DAMN! It went from hilariously funny, to raunchy, to thought provoking, to holy crap I can't believe that little guy can do THAT... If anyone's in Vegas (Ozi....) this is a MUST SEE SHOW! try to get seats up close... and you'll be amazed. increadible. Grade: A+
Crazy Horse Paris (in the MGM Grand): well... I suppose all shows can't be stars... this one looked really cool (neat light effects with the girls...)... it just fell flat. Quite boring... bad drinks... cool suvenier glass (after paying for a $16 drink).... Grade: D
Shopping Ruled in Vegas - although, not where you'd expect!
The fashion show mall - really... was very dissapointing. Not much in there other than Saks and Neimen Marcus (which both had sales on)... but all the sales were on crappy stuff.... too bad we weren't there a month earlier maybe.
THE FORUM SHOPPES... these are awesome... bought a Dolce Gabbana belt - Ted Baker Shirt/Cufflinks... LOVE THIS MALL.. any place with two versace stores, two dolce stores, chanel, ted baker, etro... rules! definately go check out the forum shoppes.
The food we had there.... increadible.
Our first night there we hit up a restaurant in our hotel
Emeril's.
This was by far - the nicest, best dinner either of us can remember in recent memory. And not really THAT expensive either... comparable to a fancy night at the Keg - or (on 17th ave) Brava Bistro... about $170 after tip, with excellent wine, appitizers, entres, etc... amazing place
Wolfgang Puk had a place in the forum shoppes too... very nice lunch to be had there
HOOKERS!!! that was funny as hell. As most people probably know, prostitution is legal in Nevada. Well, as opposed to have hookers walking the strip, what do they do? Pay Mexicans to stand on street corners handing out business cards with nude models on them! "$39 straight to you! Live nude women in your hotel in 20 minutes!".... $39? WHAT THE HELL? The most expensive we saw was $69. I guess you pay extra for Herpes huh?
Sorry Mizzle... we missed Hoover damn and the NYNY Roller Coaster... Didn't really think we had enough time to do the damn - and the coaster... every time we were near it, we were so full from dinner we were about 93% sure we'd hurl on the first loop!
Anyways everyone, that's a short little re-cap of our trip to vegas, hope everyone enjoyed, and hopefully everyone will go to Zumanity now... definately worth the money!
If - on the off chance - anybody who helped make our Vegas Vacation while we were there - is reading this. Thank you - we will definately be back.

wolfgang puck would be sick!
GP BRUSH!
Now - I don't understand this, why are people saying Wolfgang Puck would be sick?
I've never eaten there, but all I know is he's some well-known chef.
Whatever the opinions of everyone else, all I know was the food and service at his restaurant was fantastic! Not as good as Emeril's, but better than most places in Calgary anyways
